Tonbridge Angels have announced that their leading goalscorer Frannie Collin has signed a new contract that will keep him at Longmead until the end of the 2012/13 season.
The prolific striker scored twice for the Angels in their 3-0 victory over Weston-Super-Mare at the weekend, taking his tally to 21 for the season so far.
Collin had been linked with a move away from the Longmead after another fine season, but signed the new deal with the Angels on Saturday night and Chairman, Steve Churcher was delighted with the contract extension telling the club’s official website:
“We have received several enquiries from other Clubs regarding Frannie’s availability and I am really pleased that Frannie has agreed to stay with the Angels for another season – hopefully, the signing will now put the speculation to rest and we can continue to plan for next season”.
Since leaving Gillingham in 2007, the 24 year old a great spell with Dover Athletic, scoring 49 goals in just 97 appearances before signing for Tonbridge Angels in 2010.
